DeWEESE, MATTHIAS - At the residence of his parents, in this vicinity, on Sunday the 13th inst., of consumption, Matthias DeWeese, second son of Mr. John D. DeWeese, in the 22nd year of his age.  The deceased was one of the best young men we have ever known.  Honest, upright, faithful to every requirement of duty, his was as pure and spotless a character as is, perhaps, ever found among the children of men.  His early death is but another realization of the truth of the old adage that the "good die young."
