KERR, MARIE ELIZABETH ELLEN - Word was received by Troy relatives this week of the death of Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Ellen Kerr, wife of James M. Kerr, which occurred at their home in North Pasadena, Cal., on May 28th.  Mr. Kerr is a brother of Asbury and Ellis Kerr of Tippecanoe City and has a host of relatives and friends in this county, who will learn with profound sorrow of his great loss.  Mrs. Kerr was born near Rangeley Lakes, Maine, March 14, 1862, and was orphaned at an early age.  She was married to James M. Kerr in New York City, Oct. 19, 1890.  One son, James Noel resulted from this union.  Mr. and Mrs. Kerr and their son moved from Brooklyn, N. Y., to California in search of the improvement of Mrs. Kerr's health.  Her life was doubtless prolonged by the move but all that medical science and skill could do were insufficient to effect a cure.  Mrs. Kerr was an earnest and conscientious worker in many fields of Christian endeavor and was especially prominent in the W. C. T. U.  Her death is sincerely mourned by all who knew her.
