STREET, MARGARET PEARSON - Margaret Pearson Street was born July 11, 1835, and died April 5, 1911. She was the daughter of Benjamin and Dorcas Pearson, being the fourth of nine children. Her death was due to a cold settling on her lungs combined with general weakness and old age. She was brought up according to the doctrines and customs of the Friends church and was a birthright member of the same. She was a loyal member and served her church faithfully as long as she was able. She was for a number of years a good and successful teacher in the district schools of the county. In 1868 she was united in marriage to Joseph N. Street of Illinois. They resided in Illinois and Iowa for a few years but finally moved back to Ohio as their home. To this union was born one child, a daughter, Anna, who has cared for her mother since her father's death seven years ago. Besides this daughter she leaves to mourn her loss two sisters, two brothers, four grandchildren and many other relatives. The funeral services took place at the Friends church, Ludlow Falls, April 7, conducted by Rev. Enos Pemberton. Interment at Pleasant Hill. She was always a good and affectionate wife and mother and kind neighbor and friend, always ready to help and share with all who needed assistance.
