SHILL, JOSEPH L. - Joseph L. Shill, son of Lawrence and Nancy Shill, was born Sept. 8, 1851, in Clark county and died April 4 at Lewistown, Logan county, aged 60 years, seven months and one day.  At the age of five years he moved to Miami county and resided there until his marriage to Hattie Short in November 1874.  He then moved to Shelby county where they resided until nine years ago when they moved to Logan county.  To this union was born one child, George Annie Stewart of Springfield.  When 21 years of age, Mr. Shill joined the Methodist church in Miami county and held his membership there until his death.  He was a very kind and affectionate husband and father and well thought of by all who knew him.  He leaves to mourn his loss the widow, one daughter, five grandchildren, one brother, Benjamin F. Shill of Tippecanoe City, and a host of friends.
