SLEPPY, JOHN W. - John W. Sleppy died Sunday morning at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Sleppy, in Piqua.  Heart failure is given as the cause of his death.  The deceased had been failing in health for several months.  He was born in Montgomery county, Sept. 15, 1893.  His age at his death was sixteen years, six months and one day.  He is survived by his father, mother and one sister, Miss Cleo Sleppy.  His friends knew him as a manly boy.  He was admired by them and had the esteem of his teachers.  The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Greene Street M. E. church, the service being conducted by the Rev. Dr. W. A. Deaton.  Burial in Forest Hill cemetery.
