GEORGE, JOHN W. - John W. George died August 16 his death being due to infirmities of old age.  He was born March 25, 1838, in Lancaster county, Pa., and was the son of Jeremiah George.  He was married in October, 1863.  Five sons and one daughter survive him.  The funeral was held from the Lower Miami Dunkard church near Dayton on Aug. 19 and was conducted by Rev. J. Darst.  Interment at Lower Miami cemetery.  Mr. George's career was that of a plain useful citizen.  For eight years he was assessor of Wayne township.  He was a member of the Dunkard church.
