TOBIAS, JOHN - Covington--After an illness of several months of cancer of the throat, John Tobias departed this life on Tuesday evening, October 18th, at his home one mile west of Covington.  Mr. Tobias was a life time resident of this vicinity and is widely known and a highly respected gentleman.  He was of a quiet, unassuming, disposition and bore his long affliction with great patience.  He was 67 years of age and is survived by his wife, one son, Ora, of this place, two grandchildren, Merle and Earl Tobias, one brother, Henry, one sister, Mrs. Mary Brown of this place.  The funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the church of the Brethren, conducted by Rev. George Flory, pastor of the church.  Interment was made in Highland cemetery.
