PATTERSON, JOHN - John Patterson, 91, died Monday morning at the home of his son, William A Patterson, of old age.  He was one of the first settlers of this county.  He was born in Shelby county, April 15, 1819.  All of his mature life the deceased followed farming as an occupation, being unusually successful.  He is survived by two children, Miss Mary E. Patterson and William A. Patterson, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was the eldest of five brothers and the last to die.  The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon.
