Miami Union

NUNLIST, JOHN - At 2 o'clock Sunday morning, after an illness of six weeks, John Nunlist, a prominent citizen of Tippecanoe City, passed away at the age of nearly 67 years.  He was born in Munich, Switzerland, and came to this country while quite young.  He served in the Civil war being in the 118th O. V. I.  For over forty years he was a resident of Tippecanoe and was well known as the proprietor of the City Hotel.  He was united in marriage to Miss Julia Messmer and to this union were born four children, all of whom, with the widow, survive.  The funeral was held Tuesday morning with interment at St. John's cemetery.
