SPITLER, JACOB - Covington--Sunday afternoon at two o'clock the funeral obsequies of the late Jacob Spitler were held in the St. John's Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. W. H. Brown.  The decedent was 73 years of age and had always enjoyed good health until about three weeks ago, when he had a severe attack of heart trouble, and his sufferings were very intense until death came Friday night.  He was well known in this county and resided on a farm west of town a number of years, until several years ago, he removed to West Covington, which was his late residence.  Surviving him are his wife, one son, William Spitler, who resides near New Carlisle, and one daughter, Mrs. John Killian, west of town, four grandchildren and a host of friends.
