Former Resident Dies at Piqua Hospital Saturday
 
Member of First Graduation Class of 1867 Dies Saturday At Age of 81 Years.  Home at Capitol City
 
Mr. J. W. Reisner, 81, passed away Saturday morning at the Memorial Hospital in Piqua at 9:30 o'clock of Arterial Schlerosis hardening of the arteries.  He was the son of Rebekah Gilbert who resided on North Pearl Street during the war of the Rebellion, by a former marriage, and was graduated in the class of 1867, the first graduating class of the Covington High School, of which Mrs. Mina Bear of this village is the only surviving member.
 
For the past 40 years or so Mrs. Reisner has made his home in Washington D. C.  He was a life long member of the Presbyterian Church, and took active part in its festivities.
 
He leaves his widow, who was formerly Laura Darner, and a host of friends.  A son, Fred Reisner, former husband of Mrs. George Miller, and a grand son James Reisner preceded him in  death.
 
Funeral services were conducted at the Miller home on South Pearl street this afternoon in charge of Rev. W. H. Christian.  Interment was made in Highland cemetery George Miller, funeral director.
