Death of J. B. Brading  

Word was received here yesterday that J. B. Brading, well known in this community, had departed this life.  Mr. Brading was born in Shelby county, near the county line, a little over 60 years ago and lived on the farm until 1872 when he sold out and came to Piqua.  He was in numerous business ventures, and also an extensive turnpike contractor.  Three years ago he removed to Tipton, Ind., where he died yesterday morning at seven o’clock, a victim to Bright’s disease.  His remains will arrive here to-night at 9:04 and be removed to the residence of his son-in-law Wm. McMaken, three miles west on the Versailles Pike.  The funeral will take place to-morrow morning from that residence at nine o’clock, Rev. Henry Miller, of Grace Church officiating.

Word was received her Sunday that J. B. Brading, well known in this community, had departed this life.  Mr. Brading was born in Shelby county, near the county line, a little over 60 years ago and lived on the farm until 1872 when he sold out and came to Piqua.  He was in numerous business ventures, and also an extensive turnpike contractor.  Three years ago he removed to Tipton, Ind., where he died Sunday morning at seven o’clock, a victim to Bright’s disease.  His remains were brought here for interment.  The funeral took place Tuesday morning at nine o’clock, from the residence of his son-in-law Wm. McMaken, three miles west on the Versailles Pike, Rev. Henry Miller, of Grace Church officiating.
