DAVIS, ISRAEL LORTON - Bradford--Israel Lorton Davis, youngest son of Israel and Susan Davis, was born Oct. 18th, 1886, and died March 29, 1911.  He was the youngest of the family of ten children, of which two brothers, and two sisters and mother have preceded him in death.  His father, a brother and four sisters and a host of relatives and friends remain to mourn his loss.  He united with the M. E. church of this place at the age of 10 years.  His illness which was extended over a period of two years was borne with fortitude, always patient and showed the faith of a christian character.  He was always cheerful in disposition, selfishness was no part of his nature.  Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Burr Young where he made his home recently, conducted by his pastor Rev. E. L. Motter.  Interment at Pleasant Hill.
