DOUGHERTY, ISAAC - A man, this afternoon by the name of Isaac Dougherty, of Middletown, Butler county, employed on a boat, becoming fatigued, and somewhat intoxicated, fell asleep on the top of the canal bridge, near Lawton & Barnett's Warehouse, and rolled off into the bed of the canal--(the water being drawn off). He is supposed to be fatally injured. He was a soldier and served nearly four years in the army. Isaac Dougherty, died last night at 11 o'clock.
