Miami Union

SHORT, I. N. - I. N. Short, a former resident and a highly respected citizen of Cynthian township, Shelby county, Ohio, died at his late residence about three miles west of Covington, June 1, 1911.  Mr. Short was born January 25, 1836.  On the 20th of October, 1859, he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Moyer.  To this union were born four daughters two passing away in infancy.  Rachel Harrod and Ellie Rose survive him.  In the year 1867 his wife died and in the year 1870 he was united in marriage to Margaret Clawson.  To this union was born one son who departed this life several years ago.  In the year 1867 he united with the Oran Christian church and lived a faithful conscientious Christian always trying to do the duty as a Christian and good Samaritan for no one ever came to him for help but readily received it, if it was in his power to do so and often to his own great disadvantage.  He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, two daughters, one stepson and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
