STRATTON, HERBERT EUGENE - Herbert
Eugene, aged 10 years, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Stratton, died at
9:45 p.m. Monday at the family home on West Water street. Death was due to
typhoid fever from which he had been suffering about two weeks. He was
born in January, 1900, and was a bright, kindly lad, well liked by all who knew
him and many hearts will be saddened by his untimely death. He was an
enthusiastic pupil of the fourth grade at the Edwards building. He is
survived by his parents, one sister and three brothers. The brother next
in age to him is also ill with typhoid, from which the father is just recovering
after an illness extending over several months and the shock to whom will in a
measure retard his recovery. The funeral will be private and will be held
from the house at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial at Casstown.
This sorely afflicted family have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
