EYER, HENRY - Henry Eyer, a prominent and widely known retired farmer, died at his home on South Market street early Monday morning.  He had been confined to his room but two or three weeks although he had not been well for several months.  He was born in Lostcreek township Feb. 28, 1832 and was one of the nine children of Samuel and Esther Eyer.  Oct. 25, 1866, he married Caroline Jones and his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Forest Kissinger, and one brother, David Eyer, 86 of Webster City, Iowa, survive him.  After many years spent in farming he removed to Troy about 27 years ago and engaged in the coal and feed business.  For several years now he has been entirely retired from business.  The funeral services were held from the residence Wednesday afternoon with interment in Riverside cemetery.
