ILLNESS OF THREE
MONTHS IS AT END
Harley C. Snyder, 60, Farmer Residing Near Fletcher Succumbs Monday Night.
Illness of
three months culminated in the death of Harley C. Snyder, 60, farmer, residing
east of Fletcher, at his home at
9:25 o’clock
Monday night. Death was attributed
to a heart ailment. Born near Fletcher
October 25, 1877, he was a life-long resident of that community and was a member of the
Springcreek Parish church and affiliated with the Junior Order.
He was married
October 8, 1898
to Artie Sayers and to this union were born three children, who with the widow
are among the survivors. He was well-known throughout the community and
his passing comes as a distinct loss to his wide circle of friends and
acquaintances. Survivors include the widow, three daughters, Mrs. Robert
Mills of
Springfield
; Mrs. Don Denman of Fletcher and Mrs. Franklin Nishwitz of
Piqua
; two sisters, Mrs. S. J. Westfall of Piqua R.R. 2 and Mrs. William Parks of
Sidney R. R. 2. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at
1 o’clock
at the late home and at
2 o’clock
at the Fletcher Baptist church with Rev. DeRemer officiating.
Burial will be made at the Fletcher cemetery. Friends may call to pay
their respects Wednesday and Thursday until the hour of the funeral.
