Freda E. Snider
Freda E. Snider, 98, of
Greenville, formerly of Covington, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Snider; her parents, Ed and
Martha Ellen Fourman; her daughter, Carol Puck; son-in-law, Tom Purk; and
brothers Joyce, Ambert, Glenn and Joe Fourman. She is survived by a son and
daughter-in-law, Dean and Rosalee Snider of Covington; granddaughters, Susan and
husband, Mike Ault of Piqua, and Janice and husband Cecil Brown of Sidney; eight
great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lois Stephenson
of Piqua, Mary Smith of Greenville, and Mildred Cain of Tipp City; and brother,
Jim Fourman of Greenville. Freda graduated from Gettysburg High School and
attended Whittenburg and University of Dayton. Freda was an educator in the
Bradford and Covington school districts for 30 years. She was a member of the
Church of the Brethren and the Covington Garden Club, Covington. Funeral
services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bridges-Stocker-Fraley
Funeral Home, 160 N. High St., Covington. Interment will be in Pleasant
Hill Cemetery. Pastor Bill Kidwell will be officiating. Freda's family
will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of
flowers, contributions in memory of Freda may be made to the Greenville Brethren
Home of the Covington Church of the Brethren.
