C. Kunkle
Mrs.
Florence Cron Kunkle, 69, widow of Dr. Robert L. Kunkle, died unexpectedly at
2:45 a.m. today at her residence, 320 West High street, where she had been
bedfast 15 years and in failing health three years before that.
She suffered with a heart condition and arthritis. Born in Piqua May 30,
1882, she was the daughter of Lucius C. and Marcella Brown Cron.
She attended the Piqua schools and was a member of the Presbyterian
church, Daughters of the American Revolution and Nondescript club.
A woman of keen intellect, although an invalid for so many years, she
kept in touch with her wide circle of friends and was conversant with world
events. She is survived by a son by a former marriage, M/Sgt. Francis L. Cron
stationed with the Army at Westover Air Force Base in Massachusetts; a
granddaughter, Mrs. Thomas G. White (Ellen Cron) of Piqua; a great-grandson,
Thomas Whitney White of Piqua, and two half-brothers, Charles S. Cron of
Columbus, and J. C. Cron of Piqua. Her
devoted daughter-in-law, Mrs. Francis L. Cron, had taken complete care of her
for many years. Dr. Robert Kunkle
died in 1939. Dr. John C. Inglis will conduct services Saturday at 2 p.m.
at the J. C. Cron and Sons chapel with burial in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends
may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday.
