SAYERS, EZEKIEL F. - Ezekiel F. Sayers, a wealthy and respected farmer and one of Troy's best known citizens, died last Thursday night at Port Orange, Fla., where he had been spending the winter.  His son Harry L. Sayers, went at once to that place, and returned with the body Sunday night.  The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist church and was conducted by Rev. W. D. Holt.  Interment at Casstown cemetery.  The Troy National bank of which he had long been a valuable director, was closed during the afternoon.  Mr. Sayers was born on the eastern portion of the old Sayers farm in Lostcreek township in September of 1832.  On the death of his father he inherited the western portion and he has added greatly to his estate.  Prior to 1885 much of his life was spent in cultivating his farm and in that year he retired, moving to Troy and has since lived in a comfortable residence on Lincoln avenue.  He has been twice married.  His first wife was Caroline French and his second wife, Catherine Knight, who survives him.  He is also survived by three daughters, Mrs. R. Clyne, Mrs. T. L. Rogers and Mrs. Clinton Free and the son.  He is also survived by three brothers, Judson of Urbana, Ill., Enos of Nebraska and Harry of Chicago, and a sister, Mrs. Sallie Glass of Fletcher.
