EVELYN GILLIS  77, 301 E. Canal St., Troy, died Sunday in Stouder Memorial Hospital.  She is survives by her husband, Charles F. Gillis; two daughters, Marilyn Henline of St. Mary’s and Barbara Cropp of Fort Worth, TX; a son Charles H. Gillis of Troy; two brothers, Clarence Steineman of Troy and Norbert Steineman of St. Mary’s; three sisters, Volunta Thobe of Troy, Florine Barnes of Aurora, CO. and Justine Sebring of Minster; 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.  Mrs. Gillis was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Troy, and a member of Right to Life. She was retired from the J. C. Penney Co.  Services will be held 11:30 am Wednesday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with Father Gene Vonderhaur officiating. Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Friends may call from 2-4 pm and 7-8:30 Tuesday at Baird Funeral Home, Troy.
