SLANKER, ESTELLA - Estella Slanker, 76, 6845 Walnut Street (Brandt), Tipp City, passed away at 6:20 a.m. on Monday morning at the Greene Memorial Hospital in Xenia where she had been a patient four days.  She had been ill for about two years and had lived recently at the Fairborn nursing home.  Mrs. Slanker had been a longtime employee of the Bethel school lunch room and retired from there about ten years ago.  She was the daughter of Oburn and Emma Hendricks Bassett and was a member of the Brandt United Methodist church.  She was preceded in death in 1973 by her husband, Lawrence H. Slanker.  Survivors are three sons, Robert of New Carlisle and Kenneth and James of Dayton; two daughters, Mrs. Chester (Helen) Mann of Bethel township and Mrs. Marvin (Lou) Morris of Brandt; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  The Reverend Forrest Donley will officiate at final rites at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15 at the Trostel and Chapman funeral home.  Burial will be in the New Carlisle cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday between 5 and 8 p.m.
