ISAACS, ERODE "JERRY" - Erode N. "Jerry" Isaacs, 81, of Brookville died Wednesday, May 2, 2001.  Mr. Erode was born to Ernest and Neptune (Myhre) Isaacs on Dec. 14, 1919 in Yellow Medicine County, MN.  He graduated from Clarkfield Cons High School in 1939.  After graduation, he served in the United States Navy during WWII, after receiving a medical discharge, he moved to Chicago.  He married Solveig "Sandy" A. Akre in July 1946 and has been a resident of the Dayton area for over 40 years.  He was employed by the Welders Needs Company of Toledo as a welding engineer and sales manager, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Chicago.  He is survived by his wife, sons and daughters-in-law; Thomas and Vickie Isaacs of Tipp City, and Gregory and Mary Isaacs of Englewood; grandchildren, Kevin, Krista, Erin and Joseph, many other relatives and friends.  His parents and two half-brothers preceded him in death.  A memorial service was held May 7 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Tipp City with Revs. Steve Gellatly and Peter Ray officiating.  Burial was at Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City.  Arrangements were conducted by Kindred Funeral Home in Englewood.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, American Diabetes Association or the Dayton Area Heart Association
