BLACKMAN, ELISHA - At his residence in Noble county, Ind., on Thursday, Feb. 28th, Elisha Blackman, aged about --- years.  Mr. Blackman was a brother of our townsman, Mr. Hulbert Blackman, and when a young man resided here also.  About forty years ago he removed to Noble county, Ind., then very sparsely settled, where he resided until the time of his death.  But a few weeks ago he was here on a visit to friends.  While here he had a spell of sickness confining him to his room for several days, but afterward so far recovered as to be able to return home, but had a relapse from which he never again rallied.  Mr. Blackman was an excellent man and took a prominent part in the affairs of Noble county, being at one time County Judge.
