TANNEHILL, E. M. - Veteran - Civil War - 99th Ohio Infantry

Tannehill, 70, died last Sunday at Columbia City, Ind., where he was visiting.
Death resulted almost instantly from a fall down stairs. Mr. Tannehill was
born in Mt. Vernon. He was a veteran of the Civil war, having served as a
member of the 99th Ohio Infantry. Mr. Tannehill removed to Troy about 23
years ago and for many years was an employee of the Wagon Works. He was a
member of the Methodist church. His wife has been dead several years but
he is survived by four children: Alonzo, Mt. Sterling; Charles of Troy, with
whom he made his home; Mrs. M. Z. Smith of Troy; Mrs. A. B. Salone of Warsaw,
Ind. The funeral was held from the home of Charles Tannehill on East Canal
street at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment was made at New Carlisle.
