Miami Union

DAVIS, DAVID - David Davis of near West Milton died suddenly of heart trouble last Saturday morning at Port Orange , Florida , where he and his wife were spending the winter.  He was 79 years of age and was born in Union township.  His grandfather was a native of Wales .  Mr. Davis was a successful farmer and accumulated considerable property  His first wife was Miss Anna Mote, whose death occurred in 1891.  He formed a second union with Miss Marry Kelly, who survives him.  He is also survived by four children, J. O. Davis of Troy, J. Warren Davis, who resides on the farm, Mrs. Laura Macy of Palacios, Texas, and Mrs. Mary Stableton of Springfield.  The funeral was held from the West Milton Friends church Thursday morning and was conducted by the Rev. Enos Pemberton and Mrs. Chester Harries.  In Mr. Davis Miami county loses one of her best citizens.
