BARLEY, DAVID - Pine Grove--David Barley, a venerable resident of this community, passed away Thursday, September 9 at the home of Henry Tobias and family with whom he spent his last years.  Death was due to heart trouble.  He was born Jan. 23, 1827, in Pennsylvania.  His wife had preceded him in death but there survive him a sister and three step-children.  Funeral services were held at the Christian church Sunday and were conducted by Rev. Conibear.  Interment in Covington cemetery.

BARLEY, DAVID - Rose Hill--David Barley, who has been making his home with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tobias for a few years and who has been failing in health for some time, died Friday morning.  The funeral was held at the Christian church in Covington Sunday afternoon at three o'clock and was conducted by the Rev. G. A. Connibear.  Interment in Highland cemetery.
