PATTY, CHARLES MARTIN - Nashville--Charles Martin Patty died Dec. 28, 1910, at his home here after an illness of only a few days.  He was born in June 1844, on the farm near where he died.  He was the son of Enoch and Catherine Patty.  In August, 1863, he was married to Miss Maria Long, who together with one son and two grandchildren survives him.  The funeral services were held from the West Union Christian church Saturday morning, Dec. 31, and were conducted by Rev. O. P. Furnas.  Interment was made at Wheelock cemetery.  Mr. Patty was a member of the West Union church, of the Masonic lodge, the G. A. R. and the Sons of Veterans.  During the civil war he received injuries from which he suffered up to the time of his death.  In the death of Mr. Patty his wife loses a loving, indulgent husband, the son an affectionate father, the little ones of the family a fond grandfather and the neighborhood a good and faithful neighbor who will be greatly missed by all.  The family has the deepest sympathy of the entire community.
