SHROYER, CARL - Bethel--Carl Eugene, second son of Herschel and Clara Shroyer, was born Sept. 27, 1902, and departed this life Jan. 3, 1912.  He was loved and cherished by all who knew him.  In school he was studious and obedient and was loved by all his playmates and teacher.  For their love he gave in return that everlasting love which none will soon forget.  In his home he was ever ready to listen to anything pertaining to the life of our Savior.  On Christmas morning he said to his mother "Tell us of the birth of Christ."  After being told about it he asked many questions and then replied, "Oh! Mamma how nice."  He was a boy that never complained at any time.  All through his suffering there was never a murmur.  He is survived by his father and mother, three brothers and three sisters and a host of friends.  The funeral service was held Saturday afternoon, Jan. 6, from the home, conducted by Rev. Patton and Rev. Stevens.  Interment was made in the New Carlisle cemetery.
