SNYDER, CAPTAIN DANIEL D. - Captain Daniel D. Snyder, 76, died Monday afternoon after an illness resulting from congestion of the lungs. He was born in Casstown. He was a veteran of the Civil war, serving as a captain in the Tenth and Seventieth Illinois regiments. For 24 years following the war he was a Federal inspector at Atlanta, Ga. He came to Piqua in 1890, engaging in the hardware business. The deceased is survived by two children. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Church of Christ. The G. A. R. took part with their ritualistic ceremonies. Interment at Forest Hill.
