Miami Union - In Piqua Items

August 4, 1866 

SMITH, CAPT. WM. - Capt. Wm. Smith, of the Canal Boat Senator, died suddenly on the Boat, at Lockport, Shelby Co. on Friday evening last.  Capt. Smith was about 30 years of age, and leaves a widow and four children.  His remains were brought here, and buried on Saturday.         F.     In Piqua Items
