SCHWEITZER, VERA I. (DUNBAR) - Vera I. (Dunbar) Schweitzer, 81, of Clayton, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009 as a result of an automobile accident. She worked for Dayton Envelope and for Jo-Ann Fabrics in Englewood. She was a member of Happy Corner Church of the Brethren in Clayton. She is survived by her husband of 44 years: Joseph Schweitzer; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jennifer Schweitzer of Clayton; daughter, Gloria Reed of Huber Heights; step children, John and Rita Schweitzer of Dayton, Dwayne and Barb Schweitzer of West Milton, Christine and Ted Doggett of Dayton; grandchildren, Larry and Donna Moore, Melissa Carsner, Andrew Schweitzer, Jacquelyn Schweitzer; five great-grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Dunbar, Helen Thomas and step dad; Lendall Thomas; sister, Anna Edwards. Services were held Nov. 19 at the Happy Corner Church of the Brethren with Pastor Kelly Meyerhoeffer officiating. Interment was in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
