BALLARD, ROY KENNETH - 69, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Friday, October 30, 2009. He was born August 23, 1940 in Jackson County, Tennessee the son of the late Lawrence & Rozell (Henson) Ballard. Roy was an avid fisherman & hunter and was a member of the Goldwing Motorcycle Assoc. He is survived by his wife, Kay, two daughters, Sheila and husband James H. Hines of Whitleyville, Tennessee and Sherry K. Hooten of Algood, Tennessee; granddaughter, Makala Ann Hooten; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by an infant daughter. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar & Fraley Funeral Home, New Carlisle, Ohio with funeral services at 7 p.m. with Pastor Larry Witt officiating. Visitation services will be held at 5-8 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009 at the Jennings Funeral Home, Jamestown, Tennessee with funeral services at 12 noon Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Mark Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Fentress Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc. or Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton Ohio 45420.
