NETZLEY, MARJORIE LYONS - Marjorie Lyons Netzley, 86, of Laura died Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at her residence. She was born April 20, 1923, in Ansonia. Marjorie graduated from Ansonia High School and Miami University. She retired from Dettmer-UVMC as a dietician and community relations coordinator. She was a member of the Ansonia Methodist Church, Laura Christian Church, Miami County Mental Health Board, Miami County Foundation Board, Sharon Chapter No. 132 O.E.S., Nicholas School/Neurological Center (Piqua), Women's Republican Club, Laura Ladies Aide, Laura Christian Church, taught Sunday School and was a Campfire Girl troop leader. She worked at the Brethren Home, Greenville, initiated community outreach with diabetic workshops of Miami County, collected and sent medical supplies for years to children with diabetes in China. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Netzley; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Robin Glenn and June Netzley of Akron; daughters and sons-in law, Kathy and David Bronson of Cleveland and Carol Anne and James Coate of Laura; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister-in-law, Nell Lyons of Seabrook, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Virginia Marie (Beam) Lyons, and one brother, C. Roger Lyons. A family burial was held Saturday, July 18 at Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at the Laura Christian Church, 1 S.
