BEAVER, HELEN M. (Nee: DRAVING) - Helen M. Beaver, 87, of Orient, formerly of Arcanum, died April 6, 2009 at her daughter's residence in Orient. She was born Dec. 4, 1921 in Piqua. She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Geneva (Rock) Draving; husband, John E. Beaver; daughter, Janice Marie Beaver; daughter-in-law, Louise Beaver; sisters, Elizabeth Roussiau, Rosie Smith and Lois Draving. She is survived by son, John Leroy Beaver of Mobile, Ala,; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda M. and Larry Pierce of West Milton, Martha Oleta and John Jordan of Columbus, Eilene A. and John Maxwell of Greenvile, Norena M. and Rocky Baker of Orient; eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and brother, Leroy Draving of Sidney. Funeral services were held April 15 at the Hale-Sarver Funeral Home, West Milton, with Pastor Robert Kurtz officiating. Burial followed at Highland Cemetery in Covington. Contributions may be made to American Heart Association or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
