BRUMBAUGH, CALVIN MAYWOOD - Calvin Maywood Brumbaugh, 72, of West Milton, died April 4, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born May 28, 1936 to the late Aubrey and Susan (Bashore) Brumbaugh. He was a 1954 graduate of Milton-Union High School and on Feb. 9, 1957 he married Betty Lou Smith. He retired from Hobart Brothers in 1988. He was a member of Covenant Church in Vandalia and an active volunteer in the West Milton community. As in life, Cal will continue to be of service to others by donating his body to Wright State University School of Medicine. He is survived by his wife; two children, Debra Joy (Brumbaugh) and Ebert Schumann of Troy, Darla (Brumbaugh) Baldonado of West Milton; two grandchildren, Shanna Joy Ebert of Purdue University, Nathan Ebert, senior at Troy Christian; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and RuthAnn Brumbaugh of Troy, Herbert and Barbara Brumbaugh of Covington, Marvin and Dorothy Brumbaugh of Laura: sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice Sue and Bob Middlestetter of Arcanum, Linda Kay and Jerry Sherick of Dunnellon, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shirley (Brumbaugh) Wehrley. A celebration of his life is being planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society earmarked for research, Hospice of Dayton or a charity of your choice.
