SCHIMER, TERRY L. - Terry L. Schimer, 67, of Tipp City, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, after an extended illness. He was born in Dayton, to George and Dorthea (Shultz) Schimer. He was retired from Buckeye Electric where he worked as a buyer and later as a meat cutter at Chmiel's in Tipp City. Terry loved to tear things down and put them back together. He loved NASCAR, anything that flies and was an avid fisherman. Terry is survived by his mother, Dorthea Schimer of Kettering; his wife, Barbara (Link) Schimer; daughters, Pam, Patty and Deanna; step daughter, Christine and David Lett of Springfield; brothers, George and Lisa Schimer of Puyallup Wash., John F. Schimer of Centerville; sisters, Patricia and Charles Foster and Carolyn and Forest Roberts of Kettering; as well as several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog Lizzie. Services were held Sept. 11 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City. Burial at Maple Hill Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Terry's name to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Dayton.
