DAVIS, LOREN D. - 75, of New Carlisle died Tuesday, February 9, 1993 at his residence. He was born July 29, 1917 in Dayton the son of Roy & Hazel (Woods) Davis. He had worked as an inspector, retiring from A. O. Smith in 1981. Loren was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jane (Develbiss) Davis in 1987; daughter, Maryann South in 1992; his parents; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters. Survivors include 3 daughters and son-in-law, Judy Carpenter, New Carlisle, Cathy & Paul Kessler, DeGraff, OH, Susan McGlothilin, Huber Heights; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Msgt. Michael & Linda Davis, Ft. Lewis, WA., Steven Davis & Cassie Stover, New Carlisle; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 sisters & brothers-in-law, Patricia & Robert Mayne, Beavercreek, OH, Phyllis & D. Thad Broyles, Brookville, OH; a brother and sister-in-law, Roy & Geri Davis, Englewood, OH; other relatives and friends. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday in the Trostel, Chapman & Christmas Funeral Home, New Carlisle with Rev. Rick Shoemaker officiating. Burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 6-8 P.M. Friday in the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
