Judson Thompson, Sr., 79, 7530 W. Sugar Grove Road, Covington, died Thursday evening in Piqua Manor Nursing Home.  He was the son of the late William and Daisy Mae Hill and was married to the late Bertha Thompson.  Surviving are five sons, Ralph Thompson and Joe Thompson, both of Pleasant Hill, Charles Thompson of Union, Richard Thompson and Judson Thompson, Jr., both of Covington, three sisters Mrs. Carl (Lova) Snider of Arizona, Mrs. Charles (Gladys) Alexander of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Earl (Martha) Hinkle of Laura, a brother Herbert Thompson of West Milton, 28 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Thompson was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Pleasant Hill and was a retired farmer and owner of Thompson's Bargain Barn near Covington.  Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Church of the Brethren, Pleasant Hill.  Rev. Richard Winer and Rev Robert Harrington will officiate.  Burial will be in Harrington will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Covington.  Friends may call at Pearson Funeral Home in Covington Sunday from 3-8 p.m. and at the Church on Monday from 12:30 till time of services.
