GEARHEART, JOSEPH - Mr. Joseph Gearheart whose death took place at the National Soldiers' Home, Dayton, on the 23rd, ultimo was well known to the people of Troy.  He enlisted in Company H, 11th O. V. I. April 22nd, 1861 and served until December 1863 when he was discharged on account of disability, on a Surgeon's certificate.  He again enlisted at Indianapolis, Ind., March 22, 1865 in Company H, 7th, U. S. V. V's.--Handcock's corps.  He was discharged March 23, 1866, at Baltimore, Md., by reason of expiration of service.  June 3rd, 1870 he entered the Soldiers' Home where he has since resided.
