August 31, 1878

DONAHUE, SON OF BRAKEMAN - A little son of a brakeman names Donahue who runs on the east end of the P. C. & St. L. Ry., and resides at Bradford Junction, was killed by the cars at about noon Thursday. He attempted to cross one of the tracks in front of an approaching freight train when he stumbled and fell. The engine and several freight cars ran over him, cutting his body in two. He died immediately.
