PARVIN, S. H. - We chronicle, with painful regret, the sudden death of an old and much esteemed Cincinnati friend--S. H. Parvin--which occurred last Monday morning. Mr. Parvin did business in the city, but resided out near Cummingsville, going in and out on the C. H. & D. Road. Going in Monday morning he ran a short distance to reach the train, and was considerably exhausted when he got into the car. He took a seat with a friend and talked a few minutes in a cheerful mood, when his head fell suddenly back and he expired in a few minutes. We have known Mr. Parvin intimately for more than twenty-five years. His business was that of a newspaper advertising agent, which he conducted on a large scale--larger than any other west of New York. He was a man of strict integrity, and one of the most pleasant and affable gentlemen with whom it has ever been our pleasure to do business. His death will be regretted by a large circle of Cincinnati friends, and by newspaper men generally throughout the entire West.
