BURKETT, MRS. FLORENCE P. - In Troy, O., April 28th, 1878, of Consumption, Mrs. Florence P., wife of Mr. Jesse Burkett, and daughter of the late Eli and Margarette Tenney, aged 30 yrs., 28 days. Mrs. Burkett was born in West Milton, O., March 31, 1848, and was married to Mr. Burkett, Dec. 29, 1875. She was a member of the Christian Church from early childhood and was ever esteemed as a consistent and devoted member. Her sickness extended over nearly one year and though painful, was borne with perfect patience and submission. Her life was beautiful and her death was trustful and triumphant. She was buried at West Milton, near the grave of her father and a vast multitude gathered to share in her burial services. Peace to her ashes and consolation to the mourning friends. J. P. W.

BURKETT, FLORA - Mrs. Flora Tenney Burkett, daughter of the late Dr. Ed Tenney, and wife of Mr. Jesse Burkett, died last Saturday night, after a lingering illness of consumption. Her funeral, which was conducted by Elder J. P. Watson, took place Tuesday afternoon, burial at West Milton.
