BOND, JOSEPH ESQ. - In Dayton, O., Saturday morning, May 25th, Joseph Bond, Esq., aged about 80 years. Mr. Bond came originally from New Jersey, to Warren County in this State, but shortly afterwards removed to Montgomery County, where, for several years, he carried on farming and was largely engaged in the business of lime-burning--being one of the largest operators in that line in the county. For about the last 25 years he had resided in Dayton. Sometime since while attending a stock sale in Montgomery County he met with a serious accident--the breaking of his thigh--from which he never recovered. Mr. Bond was the father of Mr. B. P. Bond, of Bethel Township, Dr. A. O. Bond, of Dayton, and J. M. Bond, Esq, of this place. He was a man of intelligence, excellent business capacity, much respected in the communities, where he had resided, and served in one of them a period of 15 years as Justice of the Peace.
