ROSS, MR. J. W.
- The funeral services of Mr. J. W. Ross
took place at his late residence, corner of Franklin and Walnut Streets, at
3 o'clock last Sabbath afternoon, conducted by A. W. Clokey. He was buried
with the ceremonies of the Odd Fellows' order, there being a large turn out
of the Troy lodges and a representation from the lodge at Piqua. A large
concourse of the citizens and friends from neighboring towns were present.
Interment at Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Ross was an energetic business man,
and the town has sustained a loss by his death.

- At his residence in Troy, about noon on Thursday,
after an illness of but two days Mr. J. W. Ross, aged 57 years. In the
death of Mr. Ross--sudden and unexpected--our town loses an energetic
and enterprising citizen.
