PARSONS, FANNY - Sudden Death - Miss Fanny
Parsons, a maiden sister of the late Judge Parsons, died very suddenly
last Sabbath morning at the residence of Mrs. Parsons, corner of
Franklin and Plum Streets, Troy. She had been unusually well the day
and evening previous and attended as usual, the Saturday evening class
meeting at the Baptist Church, returning home and retiring in good
health and spirits about 10 o'clock. On the Sabbath, when it was
noticed that she had not arisen at Sabbath School time, Miss Lou Parsons
went to her room to awaken her, but was horrified to find her aunt
unconscious. A physician was immediately summoned, who pronounced her
dead, and stated that death from apoplexy had occurred at least several
hours previous. Miss Parsons was about 71 years of age and was well
known in Troy, where she has passed much of her life. She was an active
member of the Baptist Church, and a zealous worker in the Christian
cause. Her remains were taken to Granville, Licking County, for
interment on Monday.
