SEHON, REV. E. W., D.D. -  Rev. E. W. Sehon, D. D., once a prominent Minister of the M. E. Church in this State, doubtless well remembered by many of the older citizens of this county, died last week at Louisville, Kentucky, where he has resided most of the time for about thirty years.  Dr. Sehon was a resident of this State at the time of the division of the Church, between North and South, in 1834.  Being a Virginian by birth and a pro-slavery man in principle, he took the side of the South and a few years afterward removed south of "Mason and Dixon, and became a leader in the Southern branch of the Church.  Dr. Sehon married Miss Caroline McLean, daughter of Hon. William McLean, formerly of Piqua, and a number of years representative in Congress from the district of which Miami county constituted a part.  She is still living.
