SHEETS, ISAAC S. - Death of Isaac S. Sheets - An unusual sensation was produced in our town Monday afternoon last by a telegram from Philadelphia announcing the sudden death, in that city, of one of the oldest and most estimable citizens of our county--Mr. Isaac S. Sheets.  Mr. Sheets left home the preceding Thursday in company with one of his daughters for a visit to the Centennial Exposition, where he arrived, we believe on Saturday.  Whether he was indisposed on the way or took suddenly ill after his arrival, we have not learned.  His death, at any rate, took place Sunday afternoon.  Mr. Sheets was a native of Pennsylvania--having, as we learn, been born in Bedford county in that State, on the 10th of January, 1790.  He was, therefore, nearly 78 years of age.  He came to this county in 1812, where he has ever since resided.  Mr. Sheets was one of our most substantial, upright, honorable and popular citizens--respected and esteemed by all who knew him, and nearly everybody in the county enjoyed the pleasure of his acquaintance.  He has departed at a ripe old age, leaving three daughters and two sons, and a whole community to sorrow for the loss of so good a man.
