DEWEESE, MRS. RUTH
- Mrs. Ruth Deweese, Mother of Messrs, John D.,
Andrew and David Deweese, of this vicinity, died rather suddenly on Thursday
morning of last week, at the home of her sons in Staunton township.
In the death column - Suddenly on Thursday morning, 21st inst. at
her residence near Troy, of heart disease, Mrs. Ruth Deweese, in the
seventy-third year of her age. For more that fifty years, she has been a
member of the Baptist Church. At the time of her death she was a member of
the Union Baptist Church. In Youth, and in old age, in joy, in sorrow and
prosperity, in all the cares of a long and useful life, she loved the Word of
God, and in the end had grace and peace. She was a kind mother and a good
neighbor. Her pleasant home was a favorite retreat for her children and
grandchildren. She was an esteemed mother in Israel, and will be greatly
missed by her many friends and relatives. Her funeral services were
conducted by Rev. P. M. Weddell, assisted by Rev. J. B. Bristow.
